You lead me through the valley. You have given me a new life. I call to you in desperate times. You have heard my cry and have been my light.
For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God's glory displayed in the face of Christ. 2 Corinthians 4:6
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff they comfort me. you prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life and I will dwell in the house of the Lord. Psalm 23:4-6
"You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:14-16
The name came to my mind after reading the verses above. These verses have been important to me in my walk and when I looked up the definition of a valley, the name immediately had purpose for me.
Valley- a low area of land between hills or mountains, typically with a river or stream flowing through it.
In our walk we will walk through the valley of shadow of death, but God is with us to comfort us. He is there with us in the valley seasons and His living water is flowing through even in the midst of darkness. We can walk either feeling disconnected from God or we can walk through the valley and draw from His living water. There is always a purpose for those seasons. He will shine His light through us as we walk and He will guide our way as we find light in the midst of the dark valley.
If correctly abiding in Jesus, we will come out of each valley with a better understanding of who God is and with a deeper more passionate relationship with Him. His light will shine through you out of the darkest moments in your life.
Thank you for joining me on this journey and I appreciate all the ladies who have encouraged me by reading what God puts on my heart.
